Can the 2017 Turnover King play it safe and sound

One of the biggest games of the year is against the highly rated Minnesota Vikings.  Matt Ryan play will determine victory or loss. The Falcons three game winning streak is because of two main reason: 3rd down percentages have been very high and Matt Ryan is not turning over the ball.

Another key to victory is keep Julio Jones feed more. Only three touchdown all year.  Julio proved in the last game he can dominate teams when given the opportunity. Recalling last year playoff game against the Green Bay Packers and superman bull dozed his way to the end zone.

Before this winning streak he was interception and fumble prone which sunk the team to never recover.  This is a big test against a mighty defense. Since Seattle defense was bang up this year ATL had the advantage. New England Patriots defense dominated Ryan and  held him to 7 points.

The key to defeating the Vikings is ball control, keeping their offense on the sideline, scoring every quarter with touchdowns and no turnovers. He has thrown just 16 touchdown and eight interception this year. So the game can go either way. It all starts and end with number 2.

Anything less will spell doom  and gloom.

The Panthers rose up and the Falcons laid another egg

Matt Ryan lead offense scores 17 points against the divsion rival Carolina Panthers. With a loaded roster of Julio Jones, Davanta Freeman, Coleman, Sanu and others and this is all the points that was generated. 17 points will not win games in the NFL.

The offense got 17 first downs in four quarters of football. That is an average of 4 first downs a quarter. Matt threw another interception, his 7th for the season. Last season that was his total for all of 2016.

Third down efficiency was 33% which is pitiful. This means 67% of the time the Atlanta Defense had to return to the field and got worn out. Sound familiar, like Super  Bowl 51 meltdown.

Matty Ice keep up the good work.  Forget the playoff, and we know who will not be in Super Bowl 52.

Another Fumbling Effort

Against the New York Jets who has one of the lowest ranked defenses in the NFL, Matt continue to mess up and under perform. Let's start with three fumbles in which two of them were lost. He can't protect the ball anymore.

He threw for less than 300 yards in the game ( his yardage was identical to the Jets quarterback). Produced only 2 touchdowns, none to Julio Jones. Third down efficiency was the sames as the Jets offense at 35%. The most shocking stats Red Zone Efficiency was 33%.

I stopped watching the Falcons after the New England beat down. I refuse to watch again until they start scoring 30 points a game.

The only positives I can say about the offense this game was the 54 yard bomb to Julio and scoring in every quarter.
