Matt Can't Take Advantage of Golden Opportunity

Matt Can't Take Advantage of Golden Opportunity in the third quarter with the ball at Atlanta 10 yard line with first and ten. We ended up kicking a field goal instead of a easy touchdown. Atlanta lose the game by one point to the Cincinnati Bengal at the Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium.

The defense rose up big time in the second half and it was all for naught due to Matt's under performing. Matt got the golden opportunity when Atlanta sacked quarterback Andy Dalton and Atlanta's special team blocked Cincinnati punt.

If Atlanta had a scored the touchdown then, it would have pushed the game monumental heavily in Atlanta favor. Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda don't count in the NFL.

Now with a quarter of the 2018 season in the books, Atlanta has one win and three losses. Things do not look good for Atlanta with Matt's inability to seize victory. Someway or another Matt seems to come up short in a lot of games.

Matt and company should be 3-0

After watching the three Falcons games this season and given the fact the offense spent the offseason practing on scoring in the red zone, the Falcons should be 3-0.

The opening game was a l;ow scoring deal and the Falcons are capable of putting up 30+ plus points as proven in the last two games. If Matt would have produced the touchdown he did recently, they should have won that game.

The Saint game if he had of scored or at least kept the offense making first down on long drives to keep Drew Brees offense on the sideline longer, we could have won that game also. Thus avoiding overtime and bring the victory home.

How about using the deep receiver bench more often in the first half to baffle the opposing defense, keep running the ball more to keep the opposition honest, and getting more yards on first down to put the odds in your favor to keep moving the ball and the clock.

Running the ball more will get the offense line in a rhythm and ware down the other guys defense. Keep mixing up the plays and use more hurry up offense to keep the defense off stride. One who dictate the pace, usually comes out on top.

Aaron Rogers is a master of setting the pace and thus getting free plays off of opponent defenses. Matt does some his best work in hurry up. Any advantage you can get only makes the offense more lethal.

With out defense on the ropes with major injuries from several players, the offense and special teams need to step it up even more to salvage this season and hold on the promise of a Superbowl appearance this year.

Matt Blows Opportunities for Drew Brees win

Matt Ryan had a record setting five touchdowns in a game that was lost due to blown opportunities during the game. The end of the first half miscues and third quarter blunders sink the Falcons again.

Drew Brees set records himself by became the QB with the most completions ever. He also took full advantage of Matt Ryan mistakes. At the close the first half Matt Ryan able to keep drives going, allowed Brees to put up a field goal in the closing seconds.

When Atlanta would get ahead in the game the offense would fall apart unitl the Saints would get the lead back again. Then Atlanta would come alive. In the third quarter the Atlanta Defense stop Drew Breeze and Atlanta get the ball back at mid field. Matt Ryan unable to get a 1st down and punt the ball back to Drew Breeze.

This kind of stuff cost the Falcons the game. It didn't help also that the offense could not run the ball. We all know that Matt Ryan needs all the help he can get.

39 year old Drew Breeze willed his way to the OT victory over Matt Ryan because he was able to capitalized on opportunities. When the opponents offense is as leathal as yours it is best to play keep away as much as possible. Matt Ryan did the opposite. Atlanta sits at one victory and two losses.

Nick Foles Bettered Ryan

$4 million Eagles back up QB Nick Foles created 66% red zone efficiency and lead them to a victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Meanwhile the $15 million dollar Falcons QB Matt Ryan created 20 % red zone efficiency. Nick Foles created three times the red zone efficiency than Ryan.

During the off season the Falcons worked on red zone efficiency and this is all they got in the first game of the season. If this keeps up we will not make the playoffs.

Nick Foles created 50 % 3rd down efficiency, while Matt Ryan created 26%. Nick Foles created almost twice the 3rd down efficiency than Ryan. Ryan has Julio Jones on his side.

Nick Foles won a Superbowl and Ryan blew the Superbowl by the largest comeback in NFL history.

Bottom line Matt Ryan sucked all night long. Back up QB Nick Foles beat Matt Ryan twice in a row. Last year he beat Ryan in the playoffs as well. Another example where Ryan is overrated and we need a new QB as soon as possible.
