9-30-14
i not a big fan of matt ryan taking us to the superbowl, but the defense dropped the ball of this game. we couldn't stop the run and they were up by a bunch by half time. our defensive front seven played liked they weren't there. i saw on numerous occassions two falcons near the running back and the runner ran past them anyway.
matt only fault was in the fourth quarter throwing two interceptions and over throwing some receivers. matt played a solid game, the defense blew this game for us. we can't give up that many points in a short time, that puts our offense at a disadvantage. once we have to stop running the ball to try and catch up, matt will be under relentless pressure.
add to the fact we had two offense players go down and force to have a tight end play in the guard position. to many factors brought our team to a halt.

beat up tampa bay
sept 24, 2014
the falcons destroyed the helpless tampa bay buccaneers 56-14 last thursday night. the game was over by half time and i went to bed then since its fate was determined and i had to go the work early the next morning.
matt looked like a superstar but that was expected since the competition only had little talent on both sides of the ball. the falcons over matched this team in all phases. therefore matt performance was not surprising.
the dominance of the running game help matt excel in his passing game. when the running game is not working and he has to throw a lot of passes is when he gets in trouble. like in the bengal's game when the run was stopped we got beaten.
we see how the minnesota game goes and if the rookie quarterback in the purple outfit can match the veteran in the red uniform. we will see what happens.

Matt Ryan Returned Today
september 14, 2014
Matt Ryan Returned Today in that beating we took in cincinnati. by half time matt ryan had put up only sixties yards in the air. our offense couldn't run or and could only complete short passes.
like i said when matty ice faces a strong dominant defense he will melt everytime. he melted all over brown paul stadium, someone get a mop to clean up this mess. today he threw more interceptions (3) than touchdowns (1).
in the first half when i saw his whole body shaking in the pocket i knew what to expect. bad days and he delivered that in bunches. when he fell down when running into steven jackson, it looked like old times. our offense was 25 % on third down efficiency.
with the high calibar of talent on the falcons offense they produced one touchdown in the entire game and was in the red zone once.
in this game the whole team looked weak. our defense couldn't stop the run or sack the quarterback. evertime the bengals ran the ball bad thing happen for us.
in summary, matt ryan lived up to his billing. overrated, overpaid, and his future in the hall of fame is guaranteed not to happen.

Atlanta upset New Orleans
september 8th, 2014
the atlanta falcons played like champions against our biggest enemy, the new orleans saints. atlanta defense kept two touchdown in the red zone in the first half, later intercepted dree brees in the end zone to stop another touchdown, and caused a fumble in overtime to set up the winning field goal.
atlanta showed toughness in coming back after falling 13 points behind in the first half before atlanta scored a single point. the new talents came alive led by devin hester 99 yards recieving, antone smith 54 yard touchdown, and hard running from davonte freeman looks very promising.
add to atlanta rushing game showed up big time with a total of 123 yards. we kept new orleans defense off balance with all the above success.
with falcons fixing the offense line proved to be a key to all matt ryan command of the field like a field general.the biggest difference makers of all was the play of matt ryan. uncharacterically he ran to extend plays and make first downs and keep drives going. it also kept the saints off balance. he also showed he could will his way to victory. this inspired the atlanta defense and they held the saints offense to 14 points in the second half.
he was so on fire, he out threw the great brees by over a 100 yards, while setting all time atlanta records for touchdown and yards in a single game. we were 100% in the red zone and 54% on third down conversions were big contributors to our victory.
like i said a big key when i knew atlanta had a great chance for a serious superbowl win, was a victory of new orleans. if the falcons can keep this up we have a real chance. atlanta was working on all cylinders yesterday and showed the most strength as a team in a long time.
time will tell if we can truely make it and win in the post season. there is hope with the performance in this game. if this team keep this up we will have the best season in our history. this was one exciting game and i'm glad i got a chance to watch this one.
the big questions are can matt ryan keep this up the rest of the season? can our defense create an effective pass rush? how will other teams defenses respond to our offense in the future? can enough key players on our team stay healthy doing the season?
i certainly hope atlanta keep it coming to make for an amazing season.

new orleans prediction
sept 5th, 2014
a great start to the nfl season last night where seattle seahawks put it on the green packers 36-16. what a game, can't wait to watch seattle again.
this is our biggest rival and biggest test in my opinion on how well atlanta can do in the playoffs. the saints have dominated us since matt ryan has been the signal calling. matt ryan has impressive stats except when it is againt new orleans.
considering all that has happened in the draft and preseason, it fair to say atlanta has improved. improved enough to beat the saints, i don't think so. it will be war on the field but atlanta will cave and stop scoring touchdowns in the second half and will lost this one.
the falcons won't be able to stop drew bree from putting up 400 yards and will self destruck. matt will probably throw two interceptions and one touchdown. steven jackson will run for thirty yards and make two catches for ten yards.
the saints will double julio jones and roddy will lead the receiving core. the only hope to open up the passing game is from the new running back from florida.
after the game our coach mike smith will say we need to improve on this and that and say he will take ownership of the problems and we will be ready next week.
my predicted score new orleans 20 atlanta 13.
